Dear Little Monster

Hey you little monster,

So I've got to be honest with you I haven't been over the top excited about you yet.  I'm already off to a horrible start being mom of the year.  I think its only because your daddy and I haven't been into the doctor yet.  It's just been really hard to get to that point where I feel comfortable enough that you're doing ok to just be over the moon and back about you.  By now so many other mommies in these groups I joined all got to see and hear their little monsters, some as early as like 6 weeks into this.  But here we are going on 10 weeks and the longer we're waiting I guess the more nervous I'm getting.  Believe me though when I tell you I'm so anxious to see you and hopefully hear you that I have been an emotional mess.  Don't tell your daddy but I've had a few good cries over you already.  We told your Grandma's and Grandpa yesterday on Christmas about you!! Let me tell you, your Grandma Sue went BONKERS!  And your Grandma Laurie and Grandpa Gary, they were just an emotional mess over you too.  You're going to be a really spoiled kid, just so you know!

So we're scheduled in 4 more days for our first appointment and seriously I can't tell you how fast I hope these next couple days go by.  We have to work one more day, then we're going to teach a Spin class and a combo class on Saturday morning.  Saturday night we're going to go hang out with "Uncle Jon and Auntie Amanda" and your future BFF Edison so daddy and Jon can watch the big UFC fight all while Amanda and mommy probably talk about how exciting next Monday's appointment is going to be.  On Sunday I think we're going to take a walk with "Auntie Amy" and then get settled in for THE BIG GAME.  Yes little monster, you are going to be a Packers fan, whether your daddy likes it or not.  We are going to hopefully be cheering the Pack on to the NFC North Title and a trip to the playoffs.  Nothing like waiting till the last week to clinch, but we're going to do it.
