Roarin Rorie Turns 5 Months Old!!

5 Months Already?? It just doesn't seem possible.  I can honestly say that I think I'm really starting to miss my little baby girl.  Don't get me wrong, the phase she's in right now is the best, but, I miss my little squishy.  A lot has happened this past month.  Rorie celebrated her first Thanksgiving, she got to take her first plane ride, she had her first visit to Disneyland, she got to visit her east coast family for the first time, she started eating rice cereal and oh so much more.  She's getting to be so much fun.  So the big big news that I mentioned last month that I can now share is that once we're back from our trip to NY I will be working from home!!  I am beyond blessed and so grateful to my company that they are going to be allowing me to do my job from home.  For so many reasons I'm beyond excited about this, obviously though the biggest reason is that I'll be able to really see Rorie everyday and not miss out on big milestones that she's soon going to be experiencing.  Part of the deal was that we will be having a nanny come to the house to help me while I'm working.  I was a little nervous at first, seriously the interviewing process was a nightmare.  I really hope that the one we hired works out and I never have to go through it again.  Since I'll be at the house with them I'm not stressing as much but it's still going to be a trial period to see how everything goes.  It's looking like 2015 though will be amazing and we are so looking forward to all the new things coming our way.

How old:  5 Months
Weight: Guessing 15+, not quite sure
Height: Guessing 26 inches minimum.

Clothing size: We're still wearing 6 month clothes mostly and a few 9 month outfits.  There are a few of my favorite onesies that are 3-6 that I'm squeezing her into just because I can't get rid of them yet.  It's crazy how attached you get to the craziest things.

Sleep: The 4 month sleep regression came and went.  It lasted about 2 weeks and she went right back to sleeping all night.  She's good for about 10+ hours.  And now with mommy's new work arrangement I really don't have to wake her up at all in the morning until she's ready, I'm sure she'll appreciate it.

.

Food: Still solely on breast milk.  Was still getting 2 bottles a day while I was at work, we upped them to 7oz each though and for the most part she really never left anything.  Every few days here and there lately though I've given her an 8 oz one just to see and she's having no problems really with those either.  The biggest change though is that we've started the rice cereal.  She did awesome!  Took to it like a champ. By the third day she was a pro and waiting with her mouth open for the spoon almost every time.  So proud of her.  She's becoming such a big girl.

Activities: Her daily activity routine is still just a musical chair of all her stuff.  She is however going to be out of her swing pretty soon.  Those long legs of hers are creeping up on the end of it.  She's rolling around so much and starting to play with more of her toys when they catch her eye.  She'll actually mosey her way over to them by either rolling a few times to get to wear she needs to some how scootching her little butt.

Likes: She still just really loves just about anything.  She's still really loving Sophie the most out of all her toys.  I'd say the newest thing that she is loving is her thumb!!  She's actually obsessed.  At night she's all about it.  So much so that really her binkys are really more for her to chew on than to soothe her.  Which we are totally ok with.

Dislikes:  Not much really.  I feel like I'm starting to wonder if I will ever really type anything in this section.

Mood: Happy Happy and more Happy

Best moment this month: There has been so much but the best moments have been her getting to meet so many more people in our families.  The best though was her meeting her two great grandmas.  It's crazy to see her with them and realize just how much time is between them.  Her Great Grandma on Wesely's side is 90+ years older than her, it just seems crazy.  And her Great Grandma on my side is 86 years older.

Looking forward to: Getting back home and relaxing with our baby girl.  It's been a hectic few weeks.  It will be nice to settle down and give her all kinds of attention and see what fun stuff she learns to do next.  We're sooooooo close to crawling so I feel like we'll be updating everyone about that soon!!
