Roarin Rorie Turns 7 Months Old!!!

Age 7 Months
Weight 17lbs 11.5 oz
Height (unsure since last appointment) longer than she was then :)

We upgraded to the big bath tub!

We got sick for the first time, and not just no big deal sick, like really sick.

Clothing Size I officially put away all the 3-6 month clothes, it was so sad.  She's seriously grown so fast that its been hard lately even remembering what she was like when we first brought her home.  She is wearing mostly 9 month stuff but she still fits into some of the 6-9 month stuff so I'm holding onto those now as long as I can!

Sleep She's pretty much been back on track with sleeping really good.  She usually just gets up once in the middle of the night and a quick rock in the chair with mom and she can be back asleep till about 5am, get up, get changed, eat quick and be back in bed till usually at least 7.  I was really lucky earlier this week and she slept from 7:30 - 5:30 and then from 5:45 - 8:30!!!  Even while we were dealing with her nasty RSV case she did really well in the sleep department.  She's such a trooper.  Naps are still a little all over the place. But we're good to get at least 2 a day sometimes 3.  Mommy loves when she gets 3 because I can usually take a nap with her when I'm done working.

Food She's still solely on breastmilk and still is bottle striking.  The kid just refuses to drink milk from a bottle.  She's not stupid.  She knows where it's supposed to come from.  It is what it is I guess, I've kind of given up fighting her on it and trying to force the bottle issue. She is doing really well with her sippy cup and drinking water out of it though. Just DO NOT put a drop of milk in it because she knows!  Solid food wise we're still doing really good too.  She's up to two meals a day.  She does breakfast with our nanny and gets some fruit and rice cereal and then at night she eats dinner with us.  That's when we're having a bit of a battle as of late trying to get her to eat veggies.  If it doesn't have apples mixed with it she's not eating it anymore.  Like she straight refuses.  I've probably wasted at least 6 jars of food over the last week trying to get her to eat anything just green. (for example, peas, beans and zucchini mix, or avocado, zucchini, peas).  It's hopeless.  She will not do it.  She loves her apple, squash and zucchini mix though.  So who knows.  She's still getting some veggies, just with a side of apple too lol.  She's also started eating the Gerber Puffs!  And she loves them.  She picked up on how to do it so fast.  By day three of eating them she caught on that they dissolved easily in her mouth and was slowly getting the idea of what chewing was by looking at us making chewing faces at her.

She's really mastered that thing!

Activities She still really loves her ball pit, even though she was quarantined out of it for about 11 days while we dealt with the RSV nonsense.   We've officially put away her baby swing and her play yard that she laid under.  She's just completely outgrown them.  She still is loving her exersaucer, I think more so now because she's totally figured out how to jump.  She gets going sometimes and it's hilarious!  She takes lots of walks with her nanny now.  She's still finger painting, still using the zip lock bag method.  We did however make some handprints for Valentine's day as a gift to Daddy and her nanny.

Likes This kid pretty much loves anything.  She is a big fan of big girl baths now!!  She's now been upgraded to the bathtub since the kitchen sink just couldn't handle the splashing.  Literally she was soaking the entire kitchen.  The walls, the floors, all of it.  She also LOVES the swings at the park.  We finally took her and it was just the cutest thing ever.  She's still a huge fan of Sophie, who now has a leash so we don't drop her on the ground anymore thanks to LJ Baby Designs.  She is just a super happy kid.

Dislikes Funny enough this could have easily been a much worse month than it was considering we had to deal with being sick for the first time.  You would have never even really known it unless you heard the cough, saw the nasty hanging boogers.  Throughout all of it and even the nebulizer that she had to get used to, she didn't  hate anything.  I would say that maybe the only thing I can really put in the dislike column right now is eating veggies.

Mood Happy Happy and more Happy

Best Moment This Month  It took till the very last day of this past month of fun, but Rorie meeting Aunty Krissy, Uncle Hollywood, her cousins, Shasta, Harlie and Dayne, and her Uncle Chaddy!   I had been waiting for long for this trip with her to see them and it was so worth it.  Seeing my nieces with Roar was one of the best things ever and then also one of the hardest because she's not going to be around them a lot growing up and that is really hard.  They loved her so much.  Her Aunty Krissy didn't want to keep her hands off her, which for mommy was a great thing because I actually got a break occasionally :)  Uncle Hollywood, well he was totally smitten with Miss Rorie too.  She even got to be serenaded by the acoustic guitar.  She loved it.  Uncle Chaddy tried to get her to be a racing fan but I'm sure she won't be :)  She looked cute in his hat none the less.  Leaving these guys was awful.  I really tried to keep it together and I did all the way up until we got to security.  It's so hard being away from my family now that I have a family of my own.  Having her miss out on that time with them is really hard.  I know though that the times we do get together are going to be that much more special though.

Looking Forward To Oh man....I don't even know.  Just more milestones.  I really am dying for her to crawl, like really crawl.  And I so anxious for her first real words.
