Here is what WeddingWire.com says I should be doing at the 9 Month Out Mark according to things that are relevant to how we're planning the wedding.
October-November:
-Finalize Guest List
-Set up registries and then add to our wedding website
This is it? Well given that I've already ordered the Save the Dates and the Invitations, our guest list to be honest is pretty much decided on. So what this is saying is that we need to go have some fun at Bed Bath and Beyond??? I'm sure Wesley is going to be like a kid in a toy store with the scanner gun they give you. I'm positive guests that look at our registry will end up finding things like candy and those random as see on TV games or nonsense items. None the less I can't even describe how excited I am to do the registry stuff. Mostly because it's like making the best Christmas wish list ever and then waiting for Christmas to see if Santa really was listening.
I'm going to add to this list getting my Save the Dates sent out. I feel like since there is so many out of town friends and family I'd rather get this out there and have them have it really early then have it get there too late. Luckily getting these done is going to be super easy. Mamma Dukes was awesome enough to get address labels for all the guest printed up and got me all the stamps I need (SHE ROCKS). So it's as easy as slapping that on and slapping on a stamp and putting them in the mail box!
Let's see what else has been going on?
I just got a bunch of prints in that I had done for the engagement photos. Now just need to find the right frames. Plan for these is to use them at the wedding on the Gift/Card Table, Dessert Table, Family Tables, and Guest Card Table then afterwards use as gifts for some very important people. I'm also patiently awaiting the delivery of our Canvas Print that I had done for use as the Wedding Entrance Greeting and then ending up somewhere in the house on a wall. If anyone is looking for a great place to buy a canvas at a GREAT DISCOUNT check these guys out. www.canvasdiscount.com
This weekend I'll be finally going to take my Spinning Certification! An 8-5 extravaganza on a Sunday. (Away from Packers football, which I guess after yesterday's debacle against the Colts might not be such a bad thing). Excited for many reasons, obviously the most because this is truly something that I've been looking forward to doing for so long. It's going to be the best feeling to help clients realize and achieve their fitness goals. Oh and then the other reason. Yeah the money won't hurt. I've been definitely feeling the stress more and more as the months continue to pass about paying the wedding costs down. Every little bit is going to help.
Now for the section where I talk about my back and forth on to get or not to get. Videographer. I've always said that honestly I didn't think videoing the wedding, or the entire day was going to be a big deal. The last couple of weddings we've been to it seems that everyone is doing it. I didn't get it. Then I watched the videos. They seriously just aren't what they used to be when it was just someone randomly (awkwardly) standing in the back with the big camera giving you a three hour video of the whole thing, unedited and just one big tape of mush. Now it's like an honest to god production, edited together, with music, some words, and just a creative explosion on film. I literally spent a good part of the late afternoon today looking at local Videographer's websites and sample videos from complete strangers weddings. Oh and completely crying like a baby. I think that the more and more I think about all of my family and friends from back east that won't be here it's that much more important that I have a way to share with them the highlights of the day which we can show when we have our NY BBQ!!
