Hey YO! It's T-Minus 100 DAYS!! But.....
I can't stop making playlists. I keep hearing all kinds of rad new music and I immediately want to make a new playlist. For a while I've been following a few Spinning playlist blogs (Soul-Cycle's being my favorite) they've always got some great fresh ideas. I also just started following conversation threads on this Spinning Network I joined on LinkedIn of all places. For a while no one was posting anything and finally in the last couple weeks there have been some updates in there with some half decent music and profile ideas. I was getting a little worried though with some of what I was seeing. I felt like I was having flashbacks to the 70's/80's/and weird 90's. No offense to any of those time periods of music or the people that were posting it, but when I would listen to those songs I had zero motivation at all to kill it on the bike. Maybe it's just me being a bit snobby with my music tastes for my class but I just don't get pumped up to ride on a bike for an hour to the old stuff. What I also have a hard time with is the Bieber effect. UGH I can't stand that little turdface. So let's rewind back to about three days ago and remember that music has a whole new meaning to me. The only thing I do now when I hear music is listen for beat of the song. Then think to myself, can I "jump" to this? Can I "climb" to this? Will "intervals" work to this? Anyways....tangent aside I'm on my way to work and on comes this new song that I'd never heard. There was no mention to who it was or the name of it but I was hooked immediately. And I turned it up obnoxiously loud for 6:40am. I knew exactly what I was going to use that song for and it was going to be super bad ass. I couldn't find my phone in my bag to Shazam it and I was pissed because I knew with my luck I wouldn't even hear it again. Luckily for me it was on again on my way home and I immediately grabbed my phone and Shazam....OH MY EFFING NO....it was the Biebs. I literally wanted to throw the phone because I was seriously irritated that I had gotten so hooked to that darn song. But, by the time I got home I just had to go listen to it again. Downloaded and listened to it like 4 more times and I just kept pretending it wasn't him. Sure enough it's made it's way onto this list though. HOWEVER, I will lie through my teeth to anyone when they ask if I ever use music from The Biebs.
Rambling on about my hate for The Biebs aside I did find some other really awesome beats for this latest addition to the Spin rotations. And just so everyone knows, the BEST Justin will always be JT.
Go on now. Grab a bike, go for a run, but
Whatever you do JUST GET UP!!!
